At our house we use Avon Skin So Soft. That avoids the use of chemicals and it also softens the skin.
Adams It hooks to the end of your hose and you spray down the yard, it keeps them away for about 2-3 months. It is available in pet supply stores for abot $22 a bottle the bottle covers alot. It isn't sold as a mosquito repellant specifically, I think it is sold more for fleas/ticks, it will rid your yard of mosquitos though.
