Mold/Mildew problem. please help!?
Question:My window in my bedroom leaks, so it smells like mold/mildew in my room. It is really bad. My floor is really wet about up to two feet in front of the window. What can I do to clean it up and get the smell to go away. I gotta move my new bed into my room tonight so please hurry and answer!

bleach mixed with water will take care to stop the mold that may be brewing, but the rug ,:try to absorb the wetness with towels and step on them to absorb the water quicker. Change the wet towels and keep doing this process until it is all absorbed. I had wetness and mold quickly developed. You can also get mold cleaners at hardware stores , home depot and kmarts. but it should be professionally checked. get some aromatic spray when you're all dried out to rid the smell. bettyk This method is a best do-it-yourselfer. bettyk
You need to fix that leak and pull up that carpet. it's got to go!
That can lead to lots of sickness and $$$$$$.I just did $10,000 worth of work on my house that stared with mildew then mold then termites.If you own it call a service and get a free inspection,if renting sue the landlord.
