I've got slugs appearing in my bathroom, I am amazed on how they could get in, any ideas?
Question:The bathroom should be sealed all over.
Answers:
slugs love dampness-moisture! anytime it rains they are all over our sidewalks. 1st id make sure you have no leaking going on. check tub, underneath it, caulking may need fixing, dripping down or thru sides of tub. or the sink, any pipes leaking or perspiring--moisture on them. Also the drains! Those little buggers can come thru that too. so just close them up while not in use, thats easy. good luck.
ok i just did a little research for u. I found slugs eat mold! They also live in the drains! makes sense, drains are damp, & im sure molds in there. So i would say toss some bleach down those drains, or drain cleaner. clean the mold out, therefore no mold, no slugs--plus side, itll kill any living in there too.
Creatures like this including ants can come up though sink holes, looking for water or moisture.
I also get this problem and have no idea why!!
I better keep an eye on this question for a solution .x
Did you leave your windows open ? haha !
leave both your bath and sink plugs in ... see if this helps
hi
keep outside door close
if you have pet check them sometime they roll in the grass and the slug attaches to them
Maybe through your pipes in your tub, or even your toilet. I would have a plumber come and take a look. Good luck!
You should be able to see where they get in from the trails of slime they leave, and then you can deal with the problem. It's always fun to put some salt down then watch them squirm ! ! !
Yep, drain holes and overflow spouts are the way in.
Overflow spouts are certainly the ever popular way into your bath for spiders.
Slugs hate salt. Sprinkle a little salt on them and they will melt away. Every month or so pour table salt down your drains and that will help get rid of them. Or try red devil lye too to help keep your drain clean.
coming up your waste pipe or down from your guttering, check with your council to see if they can advise you, in the best way to get rid of them.
