How to clean white kitchen cabinets?
Question:We bought a house and the kitchen cabinets, which are white, are quite dirty. What product do you recommend that will not damage the wood or the paint?
Thanks!
Answers:
mr clean magic erasers, they work wonders! we used them on our cabenits and they are quite old and was very dirty when we moved in to our house.
Simple Green works well and will not harm most cabinet finishes.
tsp- trisodiumphosphate
Murphy's oil soap is very gentle but not very strong on the dirt. I would use a spray cleaner, try some to see how they do, 409 is strong, maybe too much so. Citrus cleaner is excellent on grease. You may face having to sand and repaint to get them looking top notch. Use 100% acrylic enamel.
We would use 'SUGAR SOAP' in Australia. Don't know what you call this product. It's used to wash down walls prior to painting. However, it can be used for just about anything that needs a good clean.
Sold in liquid form. Dilute in water & wipe down. It cleans off grim & dirt fantastically without any damage. That's what you want. It's not to be used all the time but just for very very grimey, greasy jobs.
Surely there would be a product like this where you are? Go to store that sells paint products. They would know of the right product to use.
we have white doors as well i use jif..
