What are simple ways to secure your house at night?
Question:Because I keep seeing someone outside my window when I'm in bed. (The silhoette from behind curtains.
Answers:
Well, security camera's, deadbolts on all doors, lights that are motion censored. And the famous alarm. These are good things to have in case of burglary. Also, have a dog (if you aren't allegic) they bark and scare away strangers. Try a light timer too. You can buy them and they turn your lights on at certain set to times. Just lock your doors at night, and if you are affraid of the dark, don't be ashamed, buy a nightlight.
-hope this helped keep your home safe!!

Two cheap and easy ways to improve security is lighting and good locks. Put in flood lights that have motion sensors or photocells if you want them on all night. Put in deadbolts that penetrate the frame at least an inch such as Quickset Titan.
I'd call the police, for one thing.
And consider getting a dog, or a tape recording of a dog barking, at least.
Ideally, a security system will work but they're somewhat expensive.
Nothing beats the bark of a big dog.
Shoot at the shadow
I live in Chicago where most of our windows are higher up (about 8 ft. above ground). I put loose bricks and broken glass on the outside of my windowsills so if anyone tries to jump up and grab onto the sill they will cut their hands and have the bricks tumble down on top of them. I don't know if you can booby-trap your windows or not. How about pouring some oil based paint (or something similar) on the ground outside your window? Something that will ruin your stalker's shoes and leave a trail behind them when they leave? Be creative, but be safe! Do not hesitate to call the police. Good luck.
do the lights ( motion sensor ) and the dead bolts .
both excellent ideas .
next for self defense purchase a BIG DOG or
better a sign that reads never mind the dog beware the owner
if you have ever seen this sign . It,s like looking down the business end of a big HANDGUN !
GOOD LUCK
