What to do with cuttings from an African Violet?

Question:I have three cuttings from an African Violet that I would like to plant in a pot. I just cut them today. I put them all in one little dish with water in it. Do I change the water every day? every week? When? Thank you!

Answers:
You do not have to change the water unless you notice it is smelling bad. As soon as you see little roots, you can plant the violet cuttings.

Plant each leaf in violet potting soil and keep moist they will take root if you pot them now.
Because they are so fiberous they can rot in straight water.
Purchase some "Rootone" and dip the cutting in the powder then place the cutting in moist African Violet media or other light soil.. Do not drown it...just keep evenly moist. How often to water will depend on your humidity, light and heat.
You should see roots in 3 weeks.
