Refrigerator help!?

Question:My Refrigerator is pretty new,,,maybe two years old...anyway..the kids messes with the dial (1 for cold 8 for very cold)they set it one one...it is taking forever to get cool..after i set it to 5...could it be something else...the freezer is working great.

Answers:
Whenever resetting a fridge; either from first time it's turned on or to correct the temp, turn it off for a few minutes, begin at 3 (usually; it's sometimes mentioned on a label inside). Listen for the compressor/fan shutting off, wait a few minutes, increase dial by 1 (ONE only). Repeat until reaching desired setting. Be patient and don't cheat.
Tell kids that messing with the dial is strictly forbidden; that doing this might make food rotten and burn out the refrigation compressor. Let alone boosting electric bill.
Another thing. If a fridge has been moved while laying on it's side, wait 24 hours (12 minimum) before turning it on after upright.

You might try unplugging it for a few minutes, set it where you want and plug it back in, make sure your vent from the freezer to the frig is not blocked.
are there 2 dials? one for above and one below? also your manufacturer may have a help line. i know GE does. check out the web for help line. u will have cold beer in no time.
It can take up to 24 for hours for the temp to stabilize and get back to "normal" I wouldn't worry about it unless after a day or so the temp hasn't gone down. Good luck.
