Formalities for getting a home completion certificate?

Question:Hi,
I have just completed constructing my hose in kerala (India). How long will it take me to get the completion certifcate from theauthorities? What are the formalities involved in it?

Answers:
Here in the states we would have to contact the building dept at the city hall for permits pertaining to which update. I am not sure what you have there in india- you should do a search for property and home building laws and procedures- codes and such.
