Herb Garden....?

Question:I've recently moved to Texas and it is so hot and dry here, I've killed just about everything I tried to grow outside. I have never had an herb garden before but was wondering if they are okay to grow inside where they wouldn't have a lot of access to sunlight and which ones might be a little heartier and easier to take care of since I have such a black thumb. Thanks!!

Answers:
I have actually had several herb gardens and I also live in Texas and the best thing to do is have an inside herb garden because of this Texas hot sun but make sure its next to a window where you are getting 50 to 70 percent sunlight.

Oh and heres a PDF file on exactlly how to grow herbs in Texas only 3 pages long but excellent source of information on mulch, how much water to give and drought information.

the first answer to your question is that if you have a hard time growing every plant and it died just water it first and then put it buy the window 4 like 5 or 6 mins then when you get ready to go to bed water about 5 times a day

I would suggest growing them in a window. They do need sunlight. If you plant outside, you may need some shading material over them so that they get half-day sun instead of all day. I did this in Florida because my tomatoes kept exploding.
