Why do basic refrigerators have no light in the freezer?

Question:My basic fridge has TWO lights in the fridge section and NONE in the freezer! Don't people get ice cream, etc out of there at nite??!?!!? Why didn't they split the lights up? I have an ice maker too, but no light. Can I put a tap lite in there? How about a candle?

Would you believe me if I said that I asked my sister this question the other day?? haha
She said that its because you're not supposed to be in the freezer that long. But my response was shouldn't they put a light in there to make it easier to find stuff so you can get in and out faster and easier?

Because the fridge penguins that turn off the light don't like it to be that cold!
I can't answer why there is no light in the freezer. That's a very good question.

You could certainly put a tap light in there, but you're going to get very poor life out of the batteries. Electron mobility is proportional to temperature.
maximizes space in your freeze
I have a light in my freezer, so I don't know what to tell you.
I wonder the same thing! What brand is it that does put a light in the freezer? Maria ---- !
