How can I stop mosquitoes from entering my room?

Question:I live with my father and stepmother who insist on leaving the back door open all the time and letting all kinds of flying insects into the house. The most problematic are mosquitoes as they bite me all the time. They seem to be oblivious to the fact that they exist as they say they do not bite them but I am covered in bites all the time. I keep the door to my room shut to keep most of them out but it still does not completely work, is there any way I can stop these bugs from getting in my room?

Answers:
get some citronella oil from your health food store and put it around your doorframe and window frame. You can also get an invisible light bulb (it is yellow and sheds plenty of light but makes the light invisible to bugs so they are not attracted to it) for your room. If you dont mind candles, burn some citronella candles in your room. Don't use off- to prevent them from getting on you, add some of the citronella oil to some lightweight natural oil or your lotion and put it on your skin-
other than that, mosquito netting, a screen door or keeping your door shut will be the only things that help

Perhaps keep your bedroom door closed?

Then there is the option of mosquito netting. Seems how your stepmother and father do not care if you contract West Nile disease, perhaps they will spring for mosquito netting around your room, citronella candles, or maybe a butt load of Off!.
You might try a fan by your door to keep them from coming in under the door or when you go in or out. Other than that, I guess you will have to live with repellent on or eat garlic and other natural mosquito repellents. Do you eat a lot of bananas? That will attract them to you. Also if you wear scented products. Good luck.
Try closing ur door and placing a towel on the bottom of it when closed so that the mosquitos dont creep in there. Its very hard to avoid insects especially when theres a door open in the house. A good way to feel the great weather while keeping mosquitos out is to get a screen door.
You didn't indicate your age, but you spell well, so I'm figuring you can go buy a screen door for the back door and read the instructions to put it up. They aren't that expensive, maybe next time you can show the bites, and Daddy is in a good mood, you can go to Home Depot.
