About summer squash?


Question:I have several summer squash plants and they have about a 2 and half to 3 inch long squash on them but the problem is that 2 of them have shriveled up and fallen off and a third is on the verge. also I live in florida and we have a bit of a drout problem but i water my plants every morining and every afternoon. what do i need to do to ensure the rest of squash grow and don't shrivel up and why are they shriveling up.

I live in florida too(orlando) and I dont seem to be having that problem with mine...i water them once a day(after 10a.m but before 2p.m.)maybe try to water them once instead of twice,if you water them during the hottest part of they day it will steam them!NOT GOOD!mine are shaded in the morning and have full sun after 2p.m...maybe try to move them so they have shade in the morning and sun in hte afternoon...im not an expert but that is what iv'e been doing and mine are about 5 and 6 inches tall
