Can I grow Indian Corn and Sweet Corn in the same row?

Question:Will they cross pollinate and will that make my sweet corn tougher? The garden is 24x70 and I'm planning 5 rows about 12 feet each of corn on the north end so it doesn't shade out everything else.

Answers:
It depends upon how many you plant. You can put a paper sack over the tassles of the one you have planted the least of or is the shortest stalks and keep the pollen from reaching the others.
I have seen this technique used to create special varieties of corn, back when I was a little boy living in a Yankee state.
