Can anybody tell me what the damp proofing stuff for under patios is called?

Question:Plus also what is the best stuff to use?

Answers:
Don't use Visqueen as it's too soft, and is not totally waterproof, builders merchants sell damp proof membrane on rolls, the best way to avoid rising damp is to use roofing slates if you can get them, they are the best you can get, and they will outlast any modern product by many, many years.

damp course visquenne (think that's the spelling). b and q have a good variety they can tell you the best.
You don't usually damp-proof under patios, as theres no point; rain falls on them from above.
Are you confusing it with weed-suppressing membrane(s)?
contact a builder's merchant they can advise you accordingly.
