Is it safe to burn pressure treated wood in an outside chimney?

Question:

Answers:
It is never safe to burn pressure treated wood. The "old" type had arsenic in it. The new variety has heavy duty chemicals. When burned you release these into the atmosphere. Particles that aren't inhaled, eventually fall as fine ash, and can contaminate water and soil.

The best thing to do with whatever can not be used is to put it in plastic garbage bags and send it to the land fill. It is pressure treated so will stay stable in a land fill.

it's not a good idea.. it's still treated with poisonous CCA and burning it makes it possible to inhale it..

I'd say don't do it.
No, it has arsenic in it; if you burn it you can release toxic gasses, and the ashes may have arsenic in them too. I recommend having leftover PT wood hauled to the dump.
Maybe, but I wouldn't do it. Some pressure treated wood contains arsenic and is very toxic. Just to be on the safe side, it's best not too burn it.
no- they make chiminea wood in bundles to burn. Pressure treated wood has chemicals in it
