How do I remove indoor/outdoor carpet?

Question:Just moved into a new house and the previous owner glued carpet to the front porch. The porch is cement. I want to get rid of the carpet and leave the cement showing. How do i do this so the porch looks good?

Answers:
Unfortunately the glue will have soaked into the cement and will have to be scraped off and then refinished. You can rent a power tool at your local tool rental to refinish the top of the cement. It amounts to grinding off a small amount of the surface. After that is done you should seal it with sakcrete sealer, which is a water based product. Available at your local home improvement store. Lowe's etc.
