Mabuhy! Does anyone know about building a (logcabin) home with the coconut trees?

Question:The property is on a hill and wish to build with acess to 1,000's of the coconut trees and of course use concrete too. Anyone in Tacloban, Leyte area interested in being the planner builder please respond to----patrickduffey69@yahoo.co... Salamat!

You've asked this question about using coco palm trunks for building a "log" cabin and received answers advising you to not to do it as the wood is much to soft and porous. But you are bound to run this concept into the ground. My humble opinion is TRY IT and watch it crumble. Can you imagine the weight of the wall pressing down on the bottom logs? Palms do not have the structure to sustain those forces. They would be better suited upright than longitudinally placed. Each would bear its own weight from roof to ground, but they will rot very quickly. That's just my opinion and that of others who have responded to this question of yours. You would be better off using Epil-Epil.
