Whole House Fan: Will 1.7 KCFM work on 1800 sq. ft. house?

Question:I have just installed 1700 CFM Whole House Fan, but it does not seem like it helps at all. Is 1.7KCFM enough for 1800 sq. ft. house?

Your fan will change that room air Once a min.YOUR house has about 16000cu ft,so about evry 15 minutues your house should change air.You also have to vent that hot air out along with cool in.Your house also has some heat retention in the walls and furnitions also.you could go bigger also but that might seem to drafty. and possibly more noise.
