Matted down carpet?

Question:well i live in an apartment and it seems like they put in really cheap carpeting bcuz ive only been living here for like 6 months and the capet is aready matted down in alot of places. wat can i do to make it fluffy-ish again?

There is a tool called a "carpet rake" It works well on picking up animal hair, and generally fluffs the carpet. The one I use is plastic, and I bought it on one of those commercials "As Seen on TV."
