Gas dryer cleaning?
Question:I have a G.E. gas front load dryer. My girlfriend apparently washed an ink pen threw the washer, amazingly it did not get ruined there, instead it broke open in my dryer. Now there is ink everywhere in the dryer. Does anyone have any idea's on how to clean that up? I called G.E. and they said to use a non-abrasive cleaner. This is taking a long, pain-staking time. Is my dryer ruined? I bought this with a front load washer. The dryer cost me around a thousand. I do not want to think the dryer is ruined. Anyone have some advice that I could use?

I did the same thing. I used mineral spirits on the ink. Then to get out the smell of that wiped it out with hot water and lemon juice. Then i put in a couple of fabric sheets and ran it empty for a while. If mineral spirits doesn't work try fingernail polish remover.
Use alot of alcohol hair spray aerosol and with several clean rags. This should remove the ink...
I would try a shot of WD40.Spray it on a rag first then wipe it on the ink spots. If that works then I would clean off the wd40 residue with some dawn dish detergent on a rag. Then go back with a clean damp rag. Hope this works.
