Question:
Answers:
yes it contains digitalis (spelling?) which is poisionous-when i was younger, we had some growing in the garden, and had guinea pigs. we didn't know it was poisionous, and they ate the foxgloves and both died, so get rid of it!
Yes! Do not ingest..
yes it is. Be careful they don't eat the leaves.
The seeds are poisonous, but they are extremely bitter and no-one's likely to eat them.
Yes, it can poisonous even in minuscule doses.
yes very if your kids are young get
rid of them
yes highly poisonious get rid now!
can cause heart attcks
It only dangerous if you eat it. I have them in my garden and had a dog that was never been affected - lived to a ripe old age. If you think there is a risk your children will eat it then get rid of it. However, from my experience few people or animals actually do try to eat it because it tastes horrid!
Foxglove is called digitalis, because it was used for circulatory disorders, such as blood pressure. I would imagine it could cause irregular heartbeat, but probably not in its natural state in your garden. I've always had loads of them, and nobody complains, plus my children are okay.

The Google search will give you lots of information .
Foxglove contains digitalis which is toxic to the heart if eaten You should you tell your kids not to chew on any plants as they might be poisonous, but to be safe remove hazardous plants from your garden.
I presume S Csparky meant get rid of the plants not the Kids or pets. LoL
Well the pets are not likely to touch them, and the kids would normally leave well alone if told they are dangerous and will hurt or kill them, That's what we were told when brought up on a farm, and I'm still here, but if your kids don't do as they are told or you are really worried, get rid of these plants, but remember there are a lot more plants that are deadly too so you can't beat a good education.
yes if eaten. the seeds are toxic. if you have kids then dispose of the dead heads before the seed pods open up.
