Also, try adding a broken aspirin to fresh water in the vase. This will help perk them up.
After a few days, to extend it even longer, replace the water with Sprite. The sugar will help it perk up even more.
If you really want them to last you could try drying them. But you have to hang them upside down before they've been left to wilt for too long. I also saw on TV once an ad for some sort of preservation material that makes them look more like silk flowers than dry flowers.
