How do you thin strawberry plants?

Question:

Answers:
Strawberries will set new plants (runners) after they are finished producing for the season. You can transplant these to thin out your patch. If you want to thin more just dig up the plant when their season is over and replant elsewhere or give away to friends.
This has worked for me but I'm no expert. Strawberries are hardy and will generally come back well.
