Has anyone else had plants or ornaments stolen in the night from their garden?

No..never had that happen..but some peoples lawn ornaments should be stolen in the night. Whats up with the pink Flamingos anyways...or the little elves
Not plants but fruits, I've lost a lot.
Sounds like teenage antics...unless it's a jealous neighbor. Maybe you should get a dog. ;> j/k It might even be a dog who's doing it.
Seriously though, you might want to invest in a few motion sensitive lights. They'll come one when someone sneaks on to your property to steal from you and might deter them from coming back.
I have a friend who had an entire hedge stolen. It was newly planted, about a dozen young shrubs. Most thieves look for easy targets so motion sensitive lights can be effective if your yard is visible from the street or to neighbors. Another option is a 10 foot fence - not sure I'd want that though.
In Detroit its a raging problem. Most people wire their plants & planters down and chain & wire their hanging baskets. Forget lawn ornaments unless you have a 8 ft rought iron fence with a lock on it.
