How do you find a caravan to rent??
Question:I would like to live in a static caravan but finding out how to rent one is becoming difficult, most are only available for holidays or short term.
Does anyone know where to rent a caravan all year round to live in.
Thanks.
Answers:
You cannot live in a caravan all year round as these are on site dedicated as holiday sites. There are some that let you live in them up to 11 months so you would have to find somewhere else for the other month. They cannot count as your place of residence either as you do'nt pay council tax on them.If you were to find a site you may be able to purchase one quite cheaply(on a loan) but bear in mind there is insurance and site fees to pay as well. There are Park homes designed for year round living, but these are generally for the over 50's and expensive. Some people will rent their caravans out for the whole season but they are few and far between.Try local holiday sites and put an advert in your local paper or the notice board on the site.
Ask your local council for lists or write to other towns,,,,,
go to a caravan park there are lots is sussex
Many caravan sites are "holiday sites" which means, in effect that you can live there for 11 months of the year, but need to take some time out for 4 weeks.
I have known several elderly people who have done this then gone on holiday for 2 weeks then moving to stay with friends for 2 weeks.
I've often wondered if you could get round the system by swapping your holiday home with someone else for the month you need to be off-site.
You don't say which area of the Country interests you.
An add in a local paper of your chosen area might bring results.
