You could try and wedge a knife or two between the door casing so that the knife is tight against the door surface. The knife is parrallel to the door surface not perpendicular as you are facing the door.
If you are a child and your parents don't want the door locked, forget what I just told you. Mind your parents!

Install a floor sliding bolt entry lock. this is your best bet and is STRONG.
