What does it mean if an appliance is "graded"??
Question:
Answers:
Graded has several meanings the item may have been brought unwrapped then the customer changed his/her mind and asked for a refund. Which means it can't be classed as new even thought it is. Another example could be that a new cooker could have been damaged in transit and the manufacture may have to take it back to be repaired so this would not be classed as new but it is.It could be that the cooker needed a new door but the product is still fully functional and normally comes with a 12mth warranty. I hope this helps
Grading shows how energy efficient it is A* being the most efficient(usus least electricity) think the least is F.
some firms (on e bay) sell graded goods, they are either returns, slightly marked, old models or such. Depending on the price - and guarantee - they can be a good buy. I've bought 3 good deals on graded goods.
Grading can mean energy efficiency, but it can also mean that the product is graded as in factory graded like for instance if a product has no faults it is an A grade appliance, but if it is scratched or has required attention to rectify a fault on a customer return product or a product found faulty in the assembly line then the product is B grade and must be sold as this. I have bought a lot of graded products over the years and they are no different to the normal product as the faults are all rectified all be it cosmetic marks and such like. you can snap up some real bargains.
