NEED ALL THE ADVICE WE CAN GET!: My dads yard has an *** load of fleas!!.....?
Question:I took 17 steps on my dads yard, went up to the porch, killed 21 massive fleas, fleas just off my pants! What do you, the people suggest we do to get these goddamn fleas off the yard. They're killin us, we cant even get any sleep. Plus my dad and his girlfriend have an annoying *** 6 year old and a 2 week old baby. I dont care about the fleas getting on the 6 year old, its the 2 week old baby im worried about...what do we do?!

Sevin dust worked great for us, but you have to repeat the application as new fleas hatch, and after it rains. This will only be a temporary fix if there are pets living on the property that are not being treated for fleas. The only effective flea treatment for our pets has been the kind the animals take by mouth. Fleas are maddening but stay after the problem and you WILL get rid of them.
Diazenon or Durasban will kill them. Use the slow release granules and you have to water it to activate it. Keep the kids out of the yard until the ground dries.
Try Seven dust you can find it at lowes or home depot and its cheap. Just dust it all over your hard.
A lot of the stuff that can be used is some pretty nasty crap. You might be better off calling a professional exterminator with a two week old baby around.

There are tons of things you can do to the yard. All kinds of poisions...
Now you have carried them in the house. So you need to set up some night lights. I like the ones you can screw the littel bulbs into. Just after Christmas or even at some dollar stores you can pick up cheap bulbs that will fit. Just under the lights you put a small dish of water. Green seems to work the best. The fleas will come to it and jump at the light and fall in the water and drownd.
CAREful with any of those poisions if the baby is on the floor at all, you dont want to track it in.
