What is the best way to get rid of a wasp nest on my deck?

Question:

Answers:
PLEASE don't go out with a stick and just knock it down! The only thing you will accomplish is getting a whole bunch of wasps really hacked off. Go to Home Depot and buy a spray especially formulated to kill wasps, and one with a sprayer that shoots the spray at least 15 feet away. Shoot the spray directly into the opening, standing as far away from the nest as possible -NEVER under it, as the dead wasps will start falling out immediately. Check the nest the next day, and if there is NO activity, then climb up and cut the nest down. Just make sure there are no wasps still flying around the nest. If there are still wasps, spray again and check the next day, and then cut the nest down. Just be really careful- don't want to see you get hurt!

Get a broom and knock it down and then spray it with poison.
Call it the professionals, the last thing that you need is a swarm of angry wasps attacking you.
Buy spray that you can use from a distance then wait until dust when they are in the nest and less active.
hire a professional to remove the nest
Wait till evening when they are all in the nest and quieted down then knock the nest down with a good stream of water at a distance. Once down keep dousing it with water for a few minutes to break up the nest, go inside and in the morning soak the nest again to be sure all stragglers are disabled then dig a hole and bury the nest.
