What is the best way to make a live mousetrap?

Question:Well, when you buy an old house, you get more than just a house. You get history and stories and random nick-nacks hidden away in the attics and basements. However, our house came with more-

Mice.

Regardless of the fact that our cats have caught/killed several of the mice, I don't like killing/eating anything with a face, so I would like some suggestions for some homemade live mousetraps (that I can make using things I already have), along with instructions on how to make them.

THANKYOU!

Answers:
Get a five gallon bucket.Put cheese, birdseed, corn or something similar in the bottom of the bucket. Not a lot. Then put a board going up to the top of the bucket. They will jump in but can't jump out.Always place the bucket and board along the wall as mice almost always follow the wall rather than running across an open floor if they can.

isn't your time worth something. The time you would spend building mousetraps far outweights the buck per two traps it cost to buy them. The really are cheap.

But, if you are looking for adventure...
here's a link for people just like you. don't release the f*ckers in my backyard.
