sprinkle Diatomaceous Earth around your foundation..
"To insects DE is a lethal dust with microscopic razor sharp edges. These sharp edges cut through the insect's protective covering drying it out and killing them when they are either dusted with DE or if it applied as a wettable powder spray. If they ingest the DE it will shred their insides."
don't leave anythang laying around to attract the ants. they come in after sweet stuff.if you leave empty pop bottles and candy wrappers where they can access them then they will come into the house. Its their job to clean up your mess. when you drop something on the floor they will show up to help you clean it up.
talk to the queen ant and see if she will relocate next door!
Ants find their way into my house in search of my dog's food dish, interestingly enough. Since he's terrified of ants, and because we don't want them inside, we usually have the outside treated periodically. You could probably have an exterminator come, or just go to Home Depot and get something.
I had ants crawling up one wall and down the other. I went to Costco and bought a huge bottle of ant spray for only $25. You have to cover all your appliances and sink. But spray a thin line of it around your windows, doors, kitchen counters and patios. Then spray all the exterior walls of your house. ( like a moat ) Do it again a month or so later.
My ant problem was solved totally in a few days. I never saw one again the whole summer. This spring, I have been waiting, but I have still yet to see any.
The spray I bought was made by "Ortho" and it comes with its own Spray hose. There is plenty in the bottle for many years.
