Measuring plants?

Question:I am not really certain on how the correct way to measure these plants would be. I am measuring dayliles. So you know how plant reaches a certain point and then the ends start to droop down? Well do you measure the plant to the highest area before it starts to droop, or do you hold up the plant and see how long the whole thing is?

thanks

Answers:
Measure to highest area before it starts to droop - no need to hold up the leaves.
