We`ve got about 2 or 3 chipmonks under our front sidewalk. I want to trap and relocate but need to know...

Question:I would like to know what time of year would be best to do this. I`d hate to trap mother chipmonk while she has a burrow full of little ones that are counting on her. Thanks!

Answers:
Need to get rid of them..they will make enough tunnels and remove enough soil that your sidewalk will crack and lower...no matter how "cute" you think they are, they can cause damage just by their burrowing.
My neighbor had to have two loads of dirt brought in to fill around his foundation where they had removed the soil.
Don't relocate them in my neighborhood...Please! We already have plenty of them...
