If you keep killing them and they return, then they are probably breeding in your walls. I suggest you hire an exterminator.

Other than that, try boric acid mixed with some table sugar. You can get boric acid at the pharmacy or local hardware.
Before I moved in my apartment, I set off 2 of those "bombs" by raid or something (1 bedroom, use more for larger place). And then I sprayed raid max around all the walls, cabinets, etc. And then I left roach traps under the sink (in RR and kitchen) and in the back of the lower cabinets and behind the stove and fridge.
I didn't have any for years, while all the other apartments had lots of problems, they stayed away from mine.
Note: make sure to use the Raid Max (the strongest sold at the store), the regular one just doesn't stick around very long
Nearly impossible. Years ago managed an old apt complex. Tried everything but in a huge bldg didn't work. About 5 years ago bought a used fridge with roaches, yikes!! But won the battle. Kill every sucker you find, turn the lights on in the dark when they come out. Those little square casings mean they just had babies. They travel fast! Boric acid helps. But make sure you keep all food stuffs clean & everything clean. They even eat old bits of soap. You have to be aggressive & hunt them down because they mulitply FAST!! I'll say, "Good Luck Jim", 'cause this may be a MISSION IMPOSSIBLE. . .

Why do that when there are so many people that eat chocolate covered bugs?Just think,Run a roach ranch and do your own packaging,then market them as a delicacy and get rich.Im sure you could make a great living with this idea.
Yeah, cockroaches are tough. I suggest you hire a Pest Control Service. Also, try spreading Napthalene balls around your place. Roaches hates the smell of Napthalene balls. You should also clean your place thouroughly and religiously spray insecticides on the breeding grounds of roaches like the bathroom drainage, under the sink and small crevices in your house. Lastly, proper waste disposal might also do the trick.
if it's not an infestation and their the larger cockroaches then you might get on top of the problem with some of the suggestions here.
be careful with borax it is a poison.
If it's German cockroaches i very much doubt you will bring it under control yourself.
call a pest controller .Most professional pco's will use a gel based product.It's very safe and only small amounts are used.I would even say it safer than the sprays you can get yourself.
If applied correctly is is very affective and minimal disturbance to the client.Not like the old days of crack and crevice treatments.
