Why do more insects go into the new house?

Question:Both old house and new house have lights on, but why do I see more insects of many kinds in the new house than in the old house? Do they like going into a higher floor (2nd floor) than into the ground floor? Thanks.

Answers:
It doesnt matter if it is an old or a new house, insects like to come in equally. There is also no difference what floor. Depending on the bug they are seeking warmth or places to eat. Ex. Spiders like damp places as they eat mosquito larve among other insects. The best you can do is make sure your new place is as sealed up as possible. Cauk cracks or openings around the house and make sure windows are air tight and have seals. If you like in an area with more woods around them you are also prone to more insects.
