Spraying for bugs?

Question:We just bought a house and are being taken over by several different kinds of bugs, i.e. spiders, crickets, rolly polly's, millipedes, ants, I could go on. Is there an ideal time to spay (morning, evening?) Also it rained yesterday about 2 inches and is humid outside should I wait for a dry day?

Answers:
what we do to keep our home bug free is spread boric acid all the way around the house right next to the slab, you can purchase it in the grocery store where the pest control products are . . this seems to keep the bugs out . .
