What are the best kind of sheets to keep you cool at night?

Question:whats the best type or brand to get??

what type of sheets do you have on your bed??

how many sets of sheets do you have for your bed?

Answers:
To keep you cool in the summer you want cotton sheets, just like in your clothing. Egyptian cotton is said to be the best, highest quality. The higher the thread count of the fabric, the softer and less pilling or 'sandy' feeling you will get with wear. (That is what I absolutely hate as sheets wear!) This is one case tho where you pay for what you get. The higher the thread count...the higher the cost. Try to get at least 250-300 thread count minimum! I have seen some of the best prices tho at the warehouse clubs.
I am not so much a name brand person in most things. I look mostly at the quality of whatever I am buying vs the cost. I keep at least 2 quality sets of sheets of sheets for each bed in my home. (400-500 thread count) One to be on the bed, and a clean set ready to go. I see no reason for more. Just personal opinion.

Percale or Egyptian linen. Should have thread count of 325 or higher. Sorry, they're expensive.
100% cotton is what we have on every bed in the house. They are cool, the sheets made with polyester are very hot to me. During the summer I sleep under 2 (layered) flat sheets, no blankies.

The type of sheets I buy are 250 thread count or higher. The higher the thread count, the softer they are. We LOVE soft, cool sheets.

Right now we have Isaac Mizrahi sheets on one bed, Ralph Lauren on another, Pottery Barn kids sheets on two beds, and Amy Coe fitted sheets in the crib.

We have 3 or 4 sets for each bed and about 10 for the crib.
Pure Egyptian cotton sheets are best.
I use these sheets on my bed. The thread count doesn't matter for coolness only for smoothness of the sheet.
I usually have one pair and wash them and put them straight back on the bed. That way they don't get musty from being in the cupboard. If you have trouble getting them dry quickly, two pairs of sheets is enough.
Try Satin Sheets! Right now I have cotton sheets on my bed and I have about 10 different sets of sheets.
