Need to prevent mouse from eating candy.?

Question:Hello,
I work at a bookstore and we also sell candy. Recently there has been a mouse or many mice eating the snickers and chex mix and things from the shelves. Even if we put the stuff up on higher ground, the mouse still gets to them. We set up traps but the mouse is too smart to go into the traps. Is there anyway to prevent the mouse from eating the candy over the weekend, because we are closed on the weekends and he will probably eat a lot of the stuff?

Answers:
-mint leaves, tape them to outside of cupboard shelf or lay on shelf, mice do not like mint for some reason, also D-con put a Little peanut butter in it to attack them, put little bottle caps of water around the mice eat D-con drink water and it explodes their insides...make sure d-con is out of way from children, pets and food. but try the mint leaves on candy shelves real mint leaves...good luck

purchase D-con. Put it along the base boards. The mice eat it and it kills them. It takes a few days, you will see the blue mice droppings (poop) and you will know they are eating it. Then call the board of health so your license to sell food products can be taken away due to mice infestation.
best bait for a trap is peanut butter.

If you have a refridgerator then put the stuff in there over night and on weekends.
Have all candy on movable trays that can be stored away overnight.

I would remove all of the candy for about a month to stop them from feeding there and then try again later.
Do you have a fridge to set the candy in for the week-end?I would put it in something with a good door. How about the microwave in the break room.
Buy a big plastic storage bin with a snap-on lid.
