How can I get rid of pigeons from sitting under my airconditioner. They moan and drive me crazy?
Question:They come at 6:30 in the morning and moan and scratch. It's driving me crazy.
Answers:
get a fake rubber snake and place it on or near the a/c
put a spiked strip anywhere the pigeons roost.

Get some hardware cloth and screen them out of the area under the air conditioner and the ledge. Shape the cloth and lace it together with wire so there is no way in, or they'll be back.
Get an air rifle and shoot them. Pigeons are the equivalent to flying rats to a house. Their 'poop' eats paint, piles up like so much cement and invites bacteria/ germs and insects to take up permanent residence. And lord, if they get into the building.the same grossness, just indoors. Really,... air rifle. (Not poison that cats and other animals will end up eating in the dead pigeon) And don't shoot the air conditioner..
A fake owl works good due to that an owl is a predator to pigeons.
I would have to side with the exclusion people. A simple bird netting (http://www.bird-x.com/products/bnet.html... should be plenty to keep them out from under there. There are also spikes you can buy (http://www.bird-x.com/products/spikes.ht... and BirdProof, a sticky chemical that makes any surface unbearable to roost on for birds. The owl seems like a good idea, but if you're only having trouble on one ledge a roost inhibitor should do the job. If you have a yard and they are all over it, a visual scare might be the way to go. The owls don't work, though-- the birds get used to it. You need something that is constantly changing, i.e. the TerrorEyes (http://www.bird-x.com/products/terror.ht... a large balloon with holographic eyes that appear to follow birds wherever they go. This terrifies them, and they will never return. Good luck!
