How do I use a soaker hose on a newly seeded lawn?

Question:I'm in the process of patching a 8 sq.ft. bare spot on my lawn, and was advised to use a soaker hose for irrigation. Do I lay the soaker hose directly on top of the area? And how long should I let it run?

Answers:
Yes, just lay it on the ground and coil it around to cover the area. Water for at least an hour early in the morning.
