I bought a calla lily house plant and the leaves are drooping and turning brown do i cut them off? how much?

Question:do i water it when its resting? and how long do i let it rest? where do i keep it when its resting?

I was given a Calla Lilly that did the same thing . Yes absolutely pinch or snip off the leaf right at the point where it joins the stalk. This will strengthen the plant cause it will waste more energy trying to heal the sick part and have less to use on growing new ones. I transplanted mine into new soil being sure to cleanse the old container with soap and bleach to disinfect it .Try to remove as much of old soil from root mass as possible without damaging to much roots (some is ok.) Mine had poor drainage that I believed was causing the roots to rot and soured the soil. Once transplanted it has made an incredible comeback .If parasites are the culprit I use a TBSP. of liquid soap with a capful of bleach (great to destroy mold& safe for plants) put in a quart spray bottle and saturate the plant leaves above and below them. Its all natural and no poisons or you can opt for some sprays at the garden center. Calla Lilly's ( the houseplant varieties) dont like full sun I keep mine under a shade tree in summer or covered porch.In winter I bring indoors when temps fall below 55 degree's at night and place in a south window for the morning sun or place it on a shelf or table near a bright window where its not hit by the sun for an extended period of time. (just partial sunlight is what it needs) The plant will do well and grow all winter it just slows down and when placed back out in spring it will flourish. Calla Lillys like to be moist, a rule of thumb I use is to place forefinger into soil up to 1st. joint and test for moisture and if dry water it till you see drainage and empty cup after about 10 minutes. Takes more water in summer and less in winter use the test.
