Biting flies / horseflies near pool-Has anyone used Horse Pal / Horsepal?

Question:We have a biting fly/horse fly/greenhead/deer fly/stable fly/etc problem. When we swim in our inground pool, they bite us like crazy. I have been trying to find a solution. Does anyone have any ideas to get rid of them and has anyone used Horse Pal (http://www.bitingflies.com/)? It is really expensive so I wanted some reviews before we bought it. Yes, I read the reviews on their website and they look great but they are of course on their website. They aren't going to put bad reviews up. :)
We are down the road from a horsefarm (but don't have horses) and near a stream also. Thanks!

Rural living - ain't it great?
Never saw that unit before. Very pricey. Perhaps some cooperation with the horse owners for some alternative controls like natural predators. For the flies I mean.

The horse owner may appreciate the help in controlling them. We'd hope.
