Please help with my plans for renovating my house?

Question:i am planning to get a conservatory attached to my back to back terraced house but i really dont know wether i should get it in white or maybe a wood colour please help as my plans are already underway

Answers:
get a woody, dark color like mahogany or brown. something close to that

hi,

I would go for the wood colour, more natural, and when it rains, it won't show dirt up so quickly...

Good Luck with your choice, in the end it is still up to you, you gotta live with it every day.
Gosh white is hard to keep clean. If I was to do it again i would put on a sun room with wood effect colour.
White gets dirty easily. But wood is very dark on the inside. But now you can get a wood out side and white inside, It keeps the room light but looks good from outside. But really it should match your window frames, otherwise it will look out of place.
definately white. wood colour double glazing looks so false. and it would probably date very quickly.
Wood looks better but will need some maintenance..
you can found of you ask BUSH CAUSE he solve every things on Iraq
depends what you rhouse looks like. Generally wood looks nice on a cottage or older property I think, but not fake plastic wood, then you'd be better off with smart white. You may need planning permission and you will definitely need a reputable builder -with references! and don't use B and Qs service - they are truly awful.
white I think if you are clean .Wood color if you are not
You've got to consider whether the colour would fit the surroundings - particularly your home and the surrounding terrain. Some are saying wood - assuming I suppose that you live in a leafy area, but white exterior conservatories may be useful if your house is particularly large or well kept in a leafy area. You will have to undertake maintenance of the exterior I imagine, so you will also have to consider the effect of rain. White exterior coating can often tarnish over time and become a bit dirty, whereas with a wood colour the effects may not be so noticeable.

Perhaps how the exterior will be built is more important, as well as what materials are used, and also what you think the function of the exterior will be- what is its purpose? I am amazed sometimes at the extravagance that house owners go to nowadays to add economic value to their home, which sits in sharp contrast to the poverty seen in other places. These are all factors that may require equal if not more consideration in any plans to "renovate" homes.
If it is back to back, then it must be going on the front or the side (if you are end terraced), honey oak looks good but is more expensive than white, you need to be in keeping with the rest of the house, and be sure you want a conservatory, it is either mad hot or freezing cold, a lot of people use it as a store, thats an expensive store room.
