I have sumac tree root systems infesting my yard. How do I get rid of it?

Question:I've chopped into the root system, but they are literally sprouting up ALL OVER MY YARD. The roots go on forever - all over the place. The roots seem to be relatively hard and difficult to just get out of the ground. How do I get rid of them without killing any other trees and plants in my yard?

Answers:
(I didn't ever heard of this kind of problem yet and I don't have a accurate answer.) I think uprooting the tree is impossible without removing your plants, you may put your small plants in pots. About the main problem;
1. You may first cut off the connection between the roots and the trunk then destroy the roots (I thought you can take the trunk to some wood factory and get some money).
2. You may poison the tree with dirty water like the soap water from after washing your garden table, but that may poison also the surrounding immovable plants.

Tip: You may cut off the branches connecting to the leaves.
