Odor in Fridge?
Question:I have a smell coming from my fridge . I have checked everything. We are clean people and we keep it clean. It almost smells like it is coming thru the ventilation because you can smell it in the freezer to. I have checked under and took the back off and I can see no problems.

Put a couple of boxes of open baking soda in there (cheap and easy to do). If it is empty, a bowl with a mixture of water and a little bleach, close it, and run (in the fridge), 24 hours later, remove and do the baking soda. One final thought, did you check the little hose that may be at the bottom that feeds into a bottom tray? If it is an older model, check to make sure that is clear and clean. Also, a description of the smell might be helpful.
could be a small rodent got trapped and died somewhere deep inside by the moving parts. Or some food fell back there and spoiled.
open a new box of baking soda and put it in the fridge and freezer see if this helps. The next time you clean your fridge use only baking soda to Cleon it with and replace the old soda box with a new one
Best idea - Charcoal. I found the perfect product for this and know so many other people that use it. It is a natural fragrance free carbon product called FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great and eliminates the odors and for a long time. It works so much better than baking soda all those sprays, and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant. and gels and oils that say keep away from fabric, pets,etc. and just don't eliminate odors. Just put one or two in fridge and also freezer. Each only costs a couple of dollars. I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it and Internet. Definitely worth trying
