I live in a 2 story row and want a c/a unit without a furnance is that pssible? my home is about 1500 square?

I have a 1200 sqft ranch. The previous owner installed an A/C unit in the attic and ran flexible duct to each room below the attic. There was a filtered return in the center hallway. You probably need a large duct going to the first floor to cool that area. That may be difficult, may take up a closet. The receipt I saw was for about $5000, I don't know how long ago that was, that was probably for the air handler and the flexible ducts + instalation.

Insulate your flexible ducts in unconditioned space to prevent stinky condensation in the winter.
