Will Termidor (Fiprinil), applied in a trench around my home for purposes of eliminating termites, harm bees?

Question:i know studies have shown that fiprinil can be lethal to bees. but when used to treat termites, it's applied 6" below the ground in a "trench," then covered with soil. seepage is minimal and the product dries quickly. does anyone out there know if fiprinil applied in this fashion is harmful to bees? i want a treatment that will eliminate the termites but still be as environmentally friendly as possible. i'm also thinking of becoming a beekeeper ... therefore i want a form of termite control that won't kill the bees. thanks for any answers.

Answers:
As a working pest control tech. I can tell you that it will not harm bees. Like you said the termiticide will be applied below the top layer of the soil, therefore the bees will not come into contact with it. Also I am glad to hear that your pest tech. is using Termidor and not Premise. Termidor is shown in lab to create a longer lasting barrier to protect you from a termite infestation. Good luck.
