Should I remove the spent flowers from my clemintas plant to encourage new blooms?

Question:

Answers:
Yes, all spent flowers, withering leaves needs to be removed

Oh yes! And it makes the plant look so much nicer too,
That's what I do but I'm not sure if it encourages new blooms. I just do it because I think the spent flowers look untidy.
yes, I think the term is called dead heading and my understanding is that removal allows the plant to focus on providing nutrients and energy to the blooms that are sustained. Thus, removal eliminates the need for the plant to expend on a bloom past it's prime.

Good luck and happy gardening!
I always cut the spent flowers off my clematis, and I do think it encourages more blooms.
I dont think once the clematis blooms it re blooms? I have 2 and once they bloom they are finished. You can remove spent flowers tho just for a tidy look.
