I just got solar garden lights and they have been out side now for a whole day but still nuthin is lighting up

Question:whats wrong.. but today there wasnt much sun out does it need 24 hour of sunlight in order to charge the batteries?

Answers:
Make sure nothing is blocking the solar panel (like a sticker, too many trees, etc). If the batteries are completely dead, it might take a good bit of sun. Make sure there isnt a plastic strip sticking out of the battery compartment, this will prevent contact.

did you remove the little strip of plastic covering the battery connection?
If you follow the directions & look at the other suggestions& if you bought the lights at a discount store & they still will not work....Chances are they are just plain junk.
Many neighbors have had them & even if they do work , its just for a while.
