Littering, yard trimmings, harassment?

Question:I have trees in my yard which grow on both sides of a boundary line. My drug addict neighbor trims the part extending into his yard and throws the limbs into my yard. Normally this would not bother me, but because our lifestyles are so different, he is doing this deliberately to try to provoke me.
I always thought that if it grows over your property, you can trim it, but it belongs to you. Dispose of it yourself. I'm looking for input on this topic.

Answers:
You are correct and your neighbor is just being an ***. I have had this problem. It's hard to deal with this because throwing it back on their side will probably just provoke them and it will just get out of hand. I doubt calling the police will do anything, they hate dealing with things like this and usually will not even come for this kind of call.
Try to document the incindents with pics and dates to be able to take to court or to show the police if they do show up.

To my understanding you are correct. Besides being ignorant I'm sure your neibor is not aware of this law. If it bothers you that much you could call the police and report him for loitering. Good Luck.
